Loosestrife "Rose Jam" (Rocket Lythrum) - Lythrum virgatum.
An excellent perennial winter-hardy plant for shady and damp places. As it grows, it forms large “islands” of slender stems up to 120 cm high.
Pinkish-purple flowers are collected in dense candle-shaped elegant inflorescences up to 50 cm long.
Looks great in the background of a flower garden, in shady mixed borders and near a pond. Bees and butterflies love to visit it. Goes well with loosestrife, irises, daylilies, and cereals.
Agricultural technology.
Seeds are sown for seedlings in March-April. Sow over the surface of the substrate and cover with film until shoots appear. The optimal germination temperature is +15+18 °C. Shoots appear 20-30 days after sowing. Planting seedlings in open ground in spring or autumn. The distance between plants is 30-45 cm. It grows in one place for many years without replanting or dividing.
It differs from Loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria) in its more compact proportions and brighter flowers.
It is branched and completely devoid of pubescence, the inflorescences are located less frequently, but the flowers are intensely colored.
Blooms in June - August. Winter-hardy without shelter.
